Too often I have been annoyed by the effort involved in organizing an event. You can't use a WhatsApp group because not everyone has WhatsApp. If you still do, there's suddenly too much unimportant stuff being chatted about and you have to search back and forth between all the messages just to find out who's coming, who's late, who's bringing what and so on. And if someone joins the group later, you have to send all the details again.
As a guest, it's often not easy either: When should I be there again? Where exactly do I have to go? Why is all the information there several times, and which is correct? Is someone else already bringing potato salad?
